Wow is all I can say about MTS’s acting lately. Since she was kidnapped and now going thru this cruel torment her acting has been off the charts, She deserves a soap opera emmy. That is saying a lot from me, because she has never been one of my favorites for a long time. But she is killing this role.
I have also noticed that it looks like she has lost weight. The loss of weight makes the story line even more authentic, Most people put thru the kidnapping trauma would probably lose a little weight from the stress.

100% agree. I’m so glad they had her go to a meeting, because we know how important her sobriety is to her. (More so than Victor who openly keeps alcohol in the house.)

Her look today was perfect. She was well put together, but you could clearly see that she is falling apart on the inside.

Wow, I was going to come on here today to say the same thing. I was really focused when she gave her story at the AA meeting. Excellent acting on MTS’s part. Plus, her whole transformation during the kidnapping and the performance she gave while being drugged was exceptional.

She is awesome!! No eye make-up to show is still struggling, her face looks thinner. I think she has lost weight also. Her sharing at AA. She is doing a bang-up job!!

I’m really happy for MST that she’s being allowed to act; not just purse her lips and complain about Adam. Her role must have been insanely boring for the last year. So glad to see her being able to work her craft - and so well.

It seems like MTS was dealing with illness during filming recently too. I read that in an article while the lake house sl was unfolding. She’s certainly a pro. Her character is imperfect (as we all are) but she’s compelling. I’ve always enjoyed any scene she’s involved in. It makes me feel a little better that the writers realize we need to see the fallout of the alcohol IV addressed at least on a minimal level. I realize it’s a soap world, but she had enough trauma to warrant thorough medical follow-up, blood work, & mental health care. Instead, we have them all returning to the ranch with instructions not to drink (ignored by Victor) and open bars still scattered around. I try to tell myself that’s “in character” for Victor to be self-focused and indulgent but it seems Victoria and/or Nick might think about the realities of alcohol sitting around after what Nikki endured.

I adore Melody Thomas Scott! Perhaps her best acting ever in the past month and I’m mesmerized by every scene she’s in.

I agree that Victoria and/or Nate should talk to Victor and tell him it’s not a good idea to keep liquor out in the open at home if he must have it there at all. He could keep it at his office or under lock and key if he must have it. But in the end it’s his house and Victoria / Nick can’t control what he does.

MTS was amazing yesterday. But the weird camera angles and cuts undermined the scene.

I can only think they filmed it that way because they were trying to hide the fact that they were using one of the Newman offices for the AA meeting so they could only use very tight shots that wouldn’t show the whole room.

I thought the meeting took place at the Club because the lady with the long hair, I noticed walked in when Nate was talking with Tucker and she went the direction opposite the stairs. I think it was there.

I was thinking the weird camera angles you mentioned were because they didn’t want to show the faces of the extras. Maybe they don’t need to pay them as much if they are only partially shown and no facial shots.
